The Essex Hinge Co. Ltd. was established in 1936 in East London, manufacturing metal fittings and a few small hinges. After the Second World War, the company moved to Shenfield, Essex. In 1965 they moved to their present premises on the Hutton Industrial Estate, Brentwood, Essex. At this time the company began solely to manufacture continuous hinges. With a change in management and increased demand the company expanded into larger premises. In recent years considerable investment has been made in modern manufacturing technology. The company today is managed by working Directors committed to supplying the world's hinge requirements, with the highest quality hinges and the most competitive prices.
